VENUS TUSKFISH aka Parrot fish  (Choerodon Venustus)
Getting its name from its large tusk like teeth, Tuskfish are a beautiful melt in the mouth fish.

TERAGLIN (aka Trag Jew)  (Atractoscion aequidens)
Base colour silver, while the back is generally bluish-brown in colour. Often confused with Mulloway but can be identified by tail shape. Is a notable eating fish

Flathead (Platycephalus Sp.)

A number of different types within this species. Mostly caught over sand or mud areas close to shore. Beautiful eating fish.

Bream   (Acanthopagrus Australis)
Found in tidal streams and rivers up to the brackish water limit. Bream are a much prized and highly rated food fish with moist flesh and a clean sweet flavour.

January - Fish of the Month

Yellowfin Tuna   (Thunnus Albacares)
Dark metallic blue back with second dorsal fin and anal finlets bright yellow. Good firm flesh.
